Web-based Teletherapy
What is web-based Teletherapy? We say “think Skype” but safer, more secure and HIPPA-compliant. It is private video conferencing using a webcam connection. It is easy to use, even if you’re technically-challenged.
If you’re a busy professional, teletherapy, sessions can save you travel time, give you greater convenience in scheduling and allow you to “see” your therapist from the privacy of your own home, office or any other location where you have your computer.
Connecting is easy. Before booking a session or series of sessions, we will provide you with easy instructions on how to establish a webcam connection. We will give you a free, test setup so that you know the connection works before your first session.
We have special training and expertise on the laws and ethics of teletherapy and telemental health. We currently serve clients in the States of New York and New Jersey. If you live in another state, please contact us to see if your state allows us to provide you with teletherapy services. Teletherapy is currently only available for residents of the United States.
Some insurance companies are now accepting claims for teletherapy services. Please let us know if you would like to have this service reimbursed by your insurance company and we will provide the information you will need.
