Child, Adolescent and Adult Therapy & Parenting Support
If you’re a parent, maintaining a healthy, happy family life is no small challenge for anyone! You may be exhausted, overwhelmed and trying to manage family and work life with the time constraints and stress of your kids’ school demands and activities. All this while trying to get them off their phones and other devices! Kids are also feeling increased stress as well and this may be taking a toll on their emotional health. You may see an increase in anxiety and depression with greater isolation and in some cases, behavioral issues at home or school. We can help.
We offer individual child, adolescent and adult therapy as well as parenting skills and support.
For those whose families were created through assisted reproductive techniques or adoption, added issues including whether and how to talk to children about their birth history, dealing with friends and family, working with a child or children who may have trauma or special needs, becoming a multi-cultural family or parenting older or multiple children may add to this stress.
For some, at the point of becoming a family and welcoming a child or children into your family, re-emergent feelings of loss, grief, sadness, and, in some cases depression and anxiety can present. We can help you cope with the feelings and issues you may be experiencing. When the needs of both parents and children are met, families can prosper. We can help provide you with the information and support you need and the tools to help you parent more effectively when your child presents challenges you may not know how to handle. For parents of children through third party reproduction or adoption, we can help you help your child understand their birth history in age appropriate ways while helping you cope with feelings you may have in the process.
